WHAT IT MEANS TO BE HUMAN

Mr Jesus is a sharp, satirical TV pilot about a down-on-his-luck actor who wakes up one morning to discover that his image has been stolen to make a GenAI Jesus, and now everyone believes he’s the Second Coming.

In a time when we're told that AI's takeover is inevitable, we, as artists, are deeply interested in how we leverage our agency. We can see that AI's current trajectory is harming our workforce, our planet, and our ability to actually source truth - and its creators and stewards have utterly shirked responsibility for making it safe. It can feel so dire we almost have to laugh…and use that space to figure out what we will do next.

The Future of Mr Jesus

We live in an age where people form parasocial relationships with chatbots, where AI can generate sermons indistinguishable from the real thing, and where the line between authentic and artificial gets blurrier every day. Mr Jesus takes this reality and pushes it to its emotional, logical, and hilarious extreme. We explore the profoundly human questions about faith and purpose, and what happens when technology gets involved.
